James Emmanuel "Doc" Sisnett
Barbados oldest super-centenarian James Sisnett dies at age 113.
James Emmanuel ‘Doc’ Sisnett was born on February 22, 1900. He was the second oldest man behind 116 year old Jiroemon Kimura of Japan.
He was the fifth child born to James Albert Egerton and Matilda Ann Sisnett (née Pitt) at Saint George parish.
After leaving school, Sisnett trained as a blacksmith and later worked in a factory making sugar and syrup until his retirement in 1970.
In 1923, Sisnett married Anita Dowling, having 5 children until Anita's death in 1937. He later married Josephine Evelyn in 1942, with whom he had 6 children.
Two of Sisnett's sisters lived to be centenarians, and another two died aged 99 and 98.
